Attorney Carol Wilson believes that quality legal representation means using the Golden Rule with clients: treat your clients as you would want to be treated.
She advocates tirelessly for her clientâs and the childrenâs best interests and strives to minimize the disruptions that can occur in inherently emotionally charged situations. With over 30 years of experience, Carol knows that moving the case forward toward a thorough resolution is usually best for her clients. Virtually all cases in North Texas will go to Mediation before a final trial is necessary. Carol has learned to use Mediation to achieve positive outcomes for her clients. Mediation is more productive as it allows the parties to choose the outcome they are willing to live with as opposed to a judge imposed decision, and is usually less time, money and emotionally costly. However, if mediation does not work, Carol is a highly skilled trial lawyer and has been recognized by her peers for her expertise and ability to deliver results. She believes that part of her job is to educate clients regarding the law and what it rightfully provides with their facts, as well as to help them avoid the problems common in emotionally stressful circumstances.
Carolâs vast network includes forensic certified public accountants, specialists in other legal fields who can be called upon when Carolâs clientâs facts involve a distinct area of the law, mortgage brokers, real estate experts and business assessors who can be used as needed to bring a case to successful conclusion.
Carol knows that the legal system cannot solve all of her clientâs problems and takes care to advise them of the likelihood of achieving their goals based on their evidence and the relevant law. She connects them with experts that can assist them in finding solutions to non-legal issues they may have.
Above all Carol believes in responding to her clients;

A Former Client
I gave 6âs (highest score) because you deserved them. I donât give out sixâs or praise easily⦠I want to thank you very much!
A Former Client
Thank you for all the hard work you have done for my baby girl. We have praised God for all he has given us. We truly believe that you are one of his gifts that we will always cherish. I know that it is your job to do what you do, but never did I feel like (just) another job or case. You made me feel like family. I greatly appreciate you and your hard work.
A Former Client
Carol was a seasoned professional in every interaction with her. She very skillfully and successfully takes on the larger and big reputation family law firms. Carol also knows well the former Judges that serve as mediators and she has the quantitative skills to mastermind the spreadsheets that get used for the settlements. I could not feel better about all of the sound advice and counseling that she provided me through a challenging divorce.
A former co-counsel
I have worked with Carol Wilson on at least three cases in the past. On two of the cases, our clientâs interests were aligned. The most recent case we both represented the same client. This has allowed me to personally witness Carol during her representation of clients. Carol is extremely passionate about her work. Her passion is evidenced by her thorough case preparation. She always treats clients well; and is compassionate as to their needs. Most importantly, she gets results. Carol is a phenomenal attorney.
